Legislative Session Information

The Nevada Legislature meets in odd-numbered years and convenes on the first Monday in February. During the session, the governor must sign or veto legislation within five days following transmittal (except Sundays) or it becomes law without signature. If the legislature is adjourned at the time of transmittal or there are less than five days left in the session, the governor must act within ten days after adjournment (except Sundays) or the legislation becomes law without signature.
